Neighbor's Table Products
Our Neighbor’s Table t-shirt is the ever popular 100% cotton Comfort Colors vintage blue pocket tee that is hand screened. The shirt is pre-shrunk, already soft, and gets even better with age. The front pocket has our classic NT brand and on the back is our full Neighbor’s Table logo and tagline.
Our laser burned birchwood Table Tokens help create the experience at the table that says “everyone’s in”. Every two-sided token has an opportunity to participate on one side (ex. Set Table, Clear Plates, Give Toast) and the other side with the alternating NT brand and olive branch mark. Have your guests pick a wooden coin when they arrive or hide it at their place setting, but you’ll be sure to have help. Keep them together in the drawstring muslin cotton bag and be ready for every gathering. Your guests will love it!
10 Table Tokens in each bag. Tokens are 1.75 inches in diameter, bags are 4 x 6 inches.
Our Kneading Troughs are a longer, narrower version of the Dough Bowls. They are hand scraped by our neighbors just south of the border. With a rich tradition of family, these artisans provide a rough hewn centerpiece visually symbolic of those who make or break bread together. We hope this Kneading Trough becomes the conversation piece of your table as you fill it with your favorite things.
As a handcrafted product, each Kneading Trough varies in size, shape, and patina. Measurements vary from L 40-44 inches x W 6-8 inches.
{Sarah here} Author Shauna Niequist and I go back to the days of sharing a cabin at summer camp. As we reconnected, we both found a love for the table. In fact, Shauna joined me in my backyard to celebrate those first 500 guests in 2012. It was that day we had the gift of hearing an excerpt from the yet-to-be-released Bread & Wine and I knew this was going to be one of my favorites. It's a beautiful collection of essays about family relationships, friendships, and the meals that bring us together. Bread & Wine is about the ways God teaches and nourishes people as they nourish the people around them. It’s about hunger, both physical and otherwise, and the connections between them. This book makes a great gift – be sure to grab one for yourself too!
{Sarah here} This was the first book I ever read about neighboring. I knew Jesus said, "Love your neighbor," and this book got me dreaming about what would happen if we accepted the invitation literally. The Art of Neighboring helped me realize by becoming good neighbors, we become who we're supposed to be. As a result, our communities become the places God intended them to be. This book is practical, but doesn't make our neighbors our "pet project." It actually encourages us to make them our friends. What a concept, right? Jay Pathak & Dave Runyon did a great job with this book. Discussion questions at the end of each chapter make this book perfect for small groups or individual study. Ready for a block party?
